Chief Operating Officer

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer will lead all operational activities for the Egypt business, driving strategic execution and operational excellence. Reporting to senior leadership, the COO will ensure seamless coordination across functions and champion continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee end‑to‑end operations, ensuring effective coordination among procurement, planning, quality, logistics and related support functions.
• Define, monitor and act on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive performance and continuous improvement.
• Lead digital transformation and lean initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage budgeting, cost control and resource optimization with a focus on financial efficiency.
• Maintain relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies and business partners.
• Collaborate with regional and global leadership to ensure alignment with overall corporate goals.
• Provide strong leadership to operational teams, fostering a high‑performance, results‑oriented culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of operations management experience in large‑scale, multi‑site organisations, including at least 5 years in senior leadership or executive roles.
• Proven experience in international operations management.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
