Cloud Infrastructure & Migration Engineer – Manager

About the role

PwC is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure & Migration Engineer to lead migration projects for servers, databases and applications. The role will be based in Cairo and will support transformation programmes across PwC’s global network, collaborating with teams in the UK, Germany and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cloud migrations using lift‑and‑shift, re‑platforming and selective modernization approaches.
• Utilise migration tools such as Azure Migrate, AWS Database Migration Service and CloudEndure.
• Validate migrated workloads for performance, security and reliability.
• Troubleshoot migration issues and optimise post‑migration environments.
• Document migration steps, outcomes and lessons learned.
• Work closely with application and platform teams to ensure seamless transition.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven experience migrating enterprise applications or databases.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.
• Experience with networking and hybrid connectivity (VPN, VNET/VPC, routing).

Required skills

• AWS or Microsoft Azure (at least one major cloud provider).
• Azure Migrate, AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), CloudEndure.
• PowerShell, Bash or Python scripting.
• Windows and Linux administration.
• Networking concepts: VPN, VNET/VPC, routing.
