Cluster Director of Commercial Strategy

About the role

Mandarin Oriental is launching two luxury resorts in Upper Egypt – Luxor and Aswan – and seeks a Cluster Director of Commercial Strategy to lead all revenue‑generating functions across the new properties. Reporting to the Area General Manager, you will shape commercial strategy, drive growth and ensure profitability while aligning with the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the cluster’s commercial strategy and business outlook in line with Mandarin Oriental brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Director of Revenue on pricing, inventory management, channel distribution and market segmentation.
• Define sales strategies and coordinate activities between Regional Sales Offices, Corporate Revenue Management, Marketing & Communications and on‑property teams.
• Communicate commercial plans, monitor market trends and adapt strategies to evolving conditions.
• Work with Marketing & Communications to create targeted propositions and campaigns.
• Identify future revenue opportunities and convey strategies to sales and marketing teams.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of sales channels and optimise budget allocation.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in commercial strategy, sales, marketing or revenue management within the luxury hospitality sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret market data and drive data‑based decisions.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering revenue growth and profitability.
