Coating Advisor - Suez

About the role

Jotun is looking for a Coating Advisor to join its Technical Service team covering the Suez area in Protective and Marine Projects. You will give expert technical support to customers through on-site coating guidance, inspections, performance assessments and detailed reporting, and work closely with the local Technical Sales Support team. The position is remote within the Suez area and reports to the TSS Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Give clear instructions to clients and Jotun personnel on paint application, working independently on site with customer representatives so that specifications are met and expectations fulfilled.
• Support the development of on-the-job training and technical guidance.
• Manage projects involving advanced coating products, giving clear technical guidance in line with working procedures and specifications.
• Inspect assigned projects independently, following the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and working procedures.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records and project documentation from inspection findings.
• Ensure all activities comply with company HSE requirements, industry best practice and international standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science.
• Fluent English communication.
• At least 3 years of experience in the coatings industry, preferably protective and marine coatings.
• Strong knowledge of coating applications, inspection practices and corrosion protection systems preferred.
• NACE Coating Inspector Program (CIP), B GAS certificate or other recognised corrosion/coating inspection qualifications preferred.
• Suez area residents preferred.
