Commercial Director

About the role

AD Ports Group is expanding its presence in Egypt through the development of the Safaga Terminal. We are seeking a Commercial Director to lead commercial, business development and strategic partnership activities across the Egyptian market, with a focus on Upper Egypt.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial, business development and partnership strategies aligned with AD Ports Group’s objectives.
• Identify, evaluate and secure new business opportunities, investments and strategic alliances in Egypt.
• Oversee commercial contracts, NDAs, MoUs, pricing strategies, bids and tenders.
• Build business cases, financial models and Investment Committee submissions.
• Lead sales, account management and commercial negotiations.
• Manage and develop a growing team of commercial staff.
• Support budgeting, P&L, CAPEX/OPEX and financial planning.
• Allocate commercial resources to maximise revenue growth and market share.
• Maintain senior‑level relationships with CXO/MD stakeholders and act as brand ambassador at conferences and forums.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews for major accounts to ensure retention and growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of relevant commercial leadership experience.
• Proven track record in multi‑cargo terminal or logistics operations (dry bulk, containers, Ro‑Ro/Ro‑Pax, break‑bulk).
• Experience in freight forwarding and inland transport logistics is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
• Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for financial analysis and senior‑level presentations.
