Commercial Manager – Egypt

About the role

Trella is seeking a Commercial Manager to own and grow its Domestic and Dry Bulk business verticals in Egypt. You will be responsible for the full commercial strategy, execution, and profitability of these verticals, working closely with shippers, carriers, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own P&L for Domestic and Dry Bulk verticals, including net revenue, take rate, and contribution margin.
• Define and execute strategies to meet monthly and annual gross bookings and margin targets.
• Drive cost efficiency and maintain healthy marketplace economics.
• Lead commercial relationships with key FMCG, industrial, and construction material shippers.
• Negotiate contracts, annual rate cards, and incentive structures.
• Build quarterly joint business plans with strategic clients.
• Develop go‑to‑market and growth strategies, including lane mix, segment focus, and pricing.
• Collaborate with analytics to monitor trends, seasonality, and performance.
• Identify white‑space opportunities such as new lanes, materials, and under‑penetrated industries.
• Partner with Operations and Supply teams to ensure load fulfillment and service quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience owning P&L and delivering revenue and margin targets.
• Strong track record in shipper growth, account management, and pipeline development.
• Ability to negotiate contracts and build joint business plans.
• Experience defining go‑to‑market strategies and pricing models.
• Analytical mindset to track performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Cross‑functional leadership skills to work with Operations, Supply, Finance, and Analytics.
