Construction Logistics Department Manager

About the role

This senior position leads the Construction Logistics Department, designing and operating site management for the group’s largest and most complex construction project. The role focuses on planning site layout, material flow, traffic control and temporary services rather than direct works execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design and run site management for the group’s largest and most complex project, including access gates, roads, lay‑down areas, craneage strategy, temporary offices and welfare facilities.
• Develop and maintain phased site layout and logistics plans throughout mobilisation, structure, finishes and handover.
• Implement a delivery booking and scheduling system, manage unloading zones, allocate vertical transport and enforce lay‑down discipline aligned with the project schedule.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic on a site with thousands of workers, creating segregation plans and workforce movement protocols.
• Oversee temporary utilities, power, water, lighting, waste removal, housekeeping and site roads to defined standards.
• Set and enforce logistics rules for all subcontractors, coordinating safety, security, planning and external authorities.
• Build and lead the site logistics team, establishing standards for future projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of experience in construction site logistics and site management, with senior responsibility on at least one very large project.
• Proven ability to design phased site layouts and logistics plans, not only to execute existing plans.
• Experience managing delivery systems on high‑volume sites and coordinating large workforces and multiple subcontractors.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.
• Experience on mega‑projects or with international contractors/consultants is a strong advantage.
