Cook – Full‑time Kitchen Position

About the role

Join Marriott International’s culinary team in Cairo as a Cook. You will work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and complete the food preparation checklist.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test and monitor food for proper doneness and quality throughout the cooking process.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen area.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures, and follow all safety, security, and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb, and reaching overhead.
