Country Indirect Procurement Manager – Egypt

About the role

As the Country Indirect Procurement Manager for Egypt, you will lead the optimisation of local procurement of products and services, working closely with the local management team to understand demand and deploy effective sourcing strategies. You will be responsible for building a robust supplier base and ensuring compliance with PMI’s global procurement standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strong collaborative relationships with senior internal partners to understand their needs and deliver impactful sourcing solutions.
• Conduct market and supplier research to advise on strategy, drive innovation and identify alignment opportunities across local, regional and global plans.
• Lead negotiations with major suppliers, ensuring quality, compliance and long‑term value.
• Manage ongoing commercial relationships with key local suppliers, vendors and subcontractors, monitoring service standards, KPI targets and sustainability metrics.
• Review and approve RFx processes and contracts, promoting standard contractual methodologies in partnership with Legal.
• Champion procurement compliance and maximise the use of PMI’s global tools and systems.
• Collaborate across teams and geographies to deliver procurement excellence.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in Category Management and Procurement Sourcing, preferably within Marketing & Sales categories.
• Proven experience working in an international, multi‑national environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, leadership attitude and a growth‑oriented approach.
