Cyber Defence IM Tech Lead

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Cyber Defence Incident Management (IM) Tech Lead to oversee 24/7 security services, monitor cyber KPIs and ensure timely reporting. You will be part of a global team dedicated to protecting the network and delivering a secure experience for millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 handling of security incidents and malicious activities, taking mitigation actions as needed.
• Implement and maintain SIEM use cases and integrate threat‑intelligence feeds.
• Manage cyber security incidents from detection to resolution, including endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems.
• Produce periodic incident‑management reports, analyse KPI trends and deliver early alerts.
• Handle Vodafone Group and internal vulnerability notices, ensuring closure of all cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• Minimum 4 years of technology experience, including at least 3 years as a Cyber Security Engineer.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and time‑management skills.
• Ability to mentor engineers, define long‑term technical road‑maps and proactively manage risks.

Required skills

• SIEM implementation and use‑case development.
• EDR solutions.
• Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of AI, databases and scripting languages.
• Incident‑management processes and threat‑intelligence handling.
