Dairy Products Plant Manager

About the role

The Dairy Products Plant Manager will lead all manufacturing operations at El Teriak's dairy plant, ensuring production targets, cost control, and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct manufacturing to meet master production schedules, manage OPEX/CAPEX and achieve volume targets.
• Oversee raw milk reception, quality testing, mass‑balance tracking and minimize product giveaway.
• Ensure technical compliance of pasteurization, UHT, homogenization, fermentation, cheese coagulation and packaging lines.
• Enforce hygiene, CIP automation, and full compliance with NFSA, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP and Halal standards.
• Maintain cold‑chain integrity across processing, storage and dispatch areas.
• Manage utility systems including steam, refrigeration, compressed air, water treatment and wastewater treatment.
• Drive OEE improvement through TPM and Lean manufacturing practices.
• Lead, coach and develop the workforce, ensuring safety culture and zero reportable incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Agricultural or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering; Master’s or MBA is a plus.
• 10‑15+ years of progressive experience in dairy or perishable food manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a Plant Manager or Operations Director role.
• Proven track record in NFSA, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 and HACCP compliance and successful audits.
• Strong financial acumen for budgeting, cost‑per‑liter calculations, CAPEX projects and capacity planning.

Required skills

• Expertise in dairy processing technologies (pasteurized/UHT milk, cheeses, yogurt, labneh, butter, aseptic filling).
• Knowledge of automated CIP systems and related safety protocols.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle), SCADA and advanced Excel modeling.
• Experience implementing TPM, Lean manufacturing and OEE improvement initiatives.
