Data Analyst (Regulatory Reporting)

About the role

We report our customers’ repayment behaviour to Al Etihad Credit Bureau (AECB) and Saudi Credit Bureau (SIMAH). This data follows borrowers to every other lender, so accuracy is critical. The role owns the end‑to‑end pipeline – daily submissions, underlying logic, error handling and dispute resolution – acting as the bridge between regulators and our production data models.

Key responsibilities

• Run the daily cycle of submissions, acknowledgements and error reports, fixing errors at the source.
• Resolve customer disputes within SLA by verifying claims, correcting records when warranted, and escalating unresolved cases.
• Own the reporting logic in dbt on BigQuery, including exclusion lists and data‑quality checks.
• Build reporting logic for new products and validate it with the Credit Bureau before go‑live.
• Tune submission volume and cadence against the Credit Bureau data dictionary.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with the Credit Bureau for clarifications, service‑desk tickets and processing capacity.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience as a data, risk or reporting analyst in a lending company, fintech or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong SQL skills and experience handling large datasets in BigQuery.
• Ability to read technical specifications closely and apply them exactly.
• Investigative habit: verify data before acting on tickets and document findings.
• Fluent written and spoken English for interaction with regulators, customer‑service teams and engineers.
• Comfort working with fixed SLAs and external counterparties that move at their own pace.
