Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Pipelines

About the role

Nawy Proptech is looking for a motivated Data Engineer to join its dynamic team. You will be responsible for ensuring data quality, integrity, and modeling while building robust, efficient data solutions that support the company’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate solutions.
• Work with IT and infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain databases, data warehouses, and cloud infrastructure.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from internal databases and external APIs.
• Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
• Implement data validation and quality checks to maintain data integrity.
• Explore new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve data‑engineering processes.
• Perform data modeling and schema design to support analytical and reporting needs.
• Design and build data marts and business layers for efficient data access and analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Advanced SQL knowledge with experience in complex queries and optimization.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience developing data warehouses and data modeling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming) is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Self‑driven, highly motivated, fast learner, ambitious and creative.
