Data Management Lead

About the role

The Data Management Lead will own the strategy, architecture and governance of our Lakehouse platform, turning complex data engineering into business‑driven insights. You will be responsible for the full data lifecycle—from real‑time streaming and unified storage to secure AI enablement—ensuring scalability, compliance and high performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise data management roadmap and governance framework.
• Establish data stewardship, ownership and quality programs across business domains.
• Lead metadata management, data catalog, business glossary and lineage implementation.
• Design and govern master data and reference data management practices.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects on data models and information architecture.
• Oversee integration of ERP, CRM, APIs and cloud applications into a modern data lake/warehouse/Lakehouse architecture.
• Drive vendor evaluations, open‑source adoption and platform optimisation to reduce latency and cost.
• Guide real‑time streaming pipelines (Kafka, Flink) and analytical engines (ClickHouse, Trino).
• Partner with DevOps to orchestrate workflows (Airflow, dbt) and manage resilient object storage (MinIO).
• Mentor cross‑functional teams of data engineers, analysts and stewards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering or data‑management leadership.
• 3+ years in a people‑management or team‑lead role.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise‑scale data transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
