Deputy Production Manager

About the role

Al Shaheen Trading & Industry is looking for a Deputy Production Manager to support the planning, execution and continuous improvement of its manufacturing operations. You will work closely with the Production Manager, Quality and Maintenance teams to ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on customer demand and capacity.
• Develop detailed schedules, ensuring raw material, equipment and manpower availability.
• Supervise manufacturing stages and production lines, assigning tasks to supervisors, technicians and operators.
• Monitor product quality, coordinate with the Quality Department and address deviations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards (FSSC, BRC) and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise line efficiency.
• Analyse production KPIs such as OEE, efficiency and yield, and drive continuous‑improvement projects.
• Manage inventory of raw materials and semi‑finished goods to avoid production interruptions.
• Track scrap and waste, implement cost‑saving measures and report performance to the General Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in a production environment.
• Strong leadership, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of production processes, quality systems and safety standards.
