DevOps Engineer - Senior Associate (Cloud)

About the role

PwC is recruiting a Cloud DevOps Senior Associate to join its Advisory practice in Cairo. The team reports to the Cloud Service Delivery Director and works alongside colleagues delivering client transformation programs across the PwC Global Network, including the UK, Germany and the Middle East. The role leads the design, implementation and maintenance of secure, efficient DevOps pipelines in cloud environments, working closely with development, operations and security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure and automation
• Act as the primary technical liaison for stakeholders, communicating progress, challenges and risks
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or cloud-native solutions (GCP preferred)
• Integrate security tools and practices into the pipeline, including vulnerability scanning and compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA and SOC 2
• Analyse business requirements and design scalable, secure cloud solutions
• Manage infrastructure and security as code with Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates
• Set up monitoring and logging with tools such as Google Cloud Operations Suite, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus and Grafana
• Deploy and orchestrate containers with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE preferred, EKS or AKS acceptable)

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience, including 4+ DevOps projects (at least two different solutions, 6+ months each)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Communications Engineering
• Fluent English, speaking and writing
• Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and strong stakeholder communication skills

Required skills

• Hands-on cloud experience with GCP (preferred), AWS or Azure, including Kubernetes, serverless and managed databases
• CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GCP Cloud Build
• Security tools such as Google Cloud Security Command Center, AWS Security Hub or Azure Security Center
• IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation or ARM templates
• Docker and Kubernetes (GKE, EKS or AKS)
