DevOps Engineering Manager – Lead Platform Team

About the role

Lean, a fast‑growing fintech operating across the MENA region, is opening its first office in Egypt. We are looking for a hands‑on Engineering Manager to build and lead a high‑performing DevOps and Platform Engineering team in Cairo. You will own the cloud infrastructure, developer platform, and operational excellence that power our payments, data, and lending services.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a DevOps and Platform Engineering team.
• Define and execute a roadmap that balances developer productivity, reliability, security, and cost.
• Own Lean’s AWS cloud environment, Kubernetes clusters, Terraform code, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stack.
• Implement SRE best practices, incident response, post‑mortems, and continuous improvement processes.
• Promote Infrastructure as Code, automation, and self‑service tooling for developers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Strong collaboration skills with Engineering, Security, Product, and Compliance stakeholders.
• Track record of building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud platforms.
