Education Officer (subject to donor approval)

About the role

The Education Officer will support planning, implementation and monitoring of educational interventions across Minya and Assiut Governorates, focusing on Safe School approaches, catch‑up classes, teacher development and learning environment improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing education projects, conducting assessments and developing indicators.
• Prepare implementation and monitoring plans and ensure timely use of resources.
• Coordinate with local Directorates of Education and Social Solidarity, government authorities and community partners.
• Oversee technical activities, maintenance and improvement works in targeted kindergarten centres.
• Conduct field visits to monitor Early Childhood Education programmes and Safe School activities.
• Support capacity‑building for teachers, school management teams and ministry representatives.
• Prepare technical reports, supervise consultants and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten Education or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience implementing education or early childhood development programmes.
• Strong experience working with education government officials at strategic and operational levels.
• Experience managing sub‑grants and partnerships with local communities.
