E‑Invoicing Technical Integration Consultant (Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking a freelance E‑Invoicing Technical Integration Consultant to support an early‑stage digital invoicing project in Oman. The role is advisory and technical at this stage, with the possibility of evolving into a longer‑term engagement if the project succeeds.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in online meetings with potential e‑invoicing, Peppol, ERP, API and infrastructure partners.
• Ask technical questions, review API, XML/UBL, integration guides and security documents.
• Assess partner architecture, scalability, SLA, support model and implementation risks.
• Identify vendor lock‑in, data ownership, hosting and security gaps.
• Support high‑level technical design discussions covering application, integration, infrastructure, data, backup and retention.
• Provide concise written summaries after meetings highlighting strengths, risks and open questions.

Required profile

• Practical technical advisor comfortable discussing backend and integration requirements of regulated e‑invoicing platforms.
• Experience communicating technical risks in clear business language.
• Ability to work independently on a freelance basis and attend selected virtual meetings.

Required skills

• E‑invoicing and Peppol standards (UBL/XML, AS4, SMP, Access Point).
• API integration experience (REST, webhooks, authentication, sandbox testing).
• ERP and POS integration knowledge (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, QuickBooks, Tally).
• Understanding of SaaS, multi‑tenant architecture and backend systems.
• Familiarity with tax authority e‑invoicing requirements (ZATCA, Fatoora, UAE).
