Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent

About the role

The Electrical & Instrumentation Superintendent will lead all on‑site E&I construction activities at the Sukari gold mine, ensuring safe and efficient installation of power, control and instrumentation systems for processing plants, gravity circuits and substations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate E&I subcontractors and direct‑hire crews installing high, medium and low voltage systems, DCS/PLC networks and SCADA architecture.
• Monitor daily progress against project milestones, align installation rates with material deliveries and manage change orders within CAPEX budgets.
• Ensure compliance with engineering designs, mining codes and standards such as MSHA, IEC, NEC, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; oversee Quality Turnover Packages.
• Champion zero‑harm safety through site inspections, Job Safety Analyses, Permit‑to‑Work and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Lead pre‑commissioning activities including loop checks, instrument calibrations, cable continuity/megger testing and cold commissioning of modular E‑houses.
• Prepare accurate material take‑offs, scopes of work and technical RFQs to secure critical equipment on schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience directing electrical and instrumentation construction projects in a mining environment.
• Strong knowledge of local mining regulations and international standards (MSHA, IEC, NEC, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with procurement to maintain construction momentum.
