Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

The company is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure reliable operation of machinery, utilities and equipment within its food production facilities. You will diagnose electrical faults, support the maintenance team during breakdowns and coordinate repairs to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in machinery, utilities and equipment.
• Provide technical support to the maintenance team during breakdowns and repairs.
• Distribute work orders to technicians and monitor their completion.
• Document maintenance activities, updates and work order progress in logs and reports.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and negotiate service terms.
• Maintain inventory of equipment parts and manage orders for new supplies.
• Support compliance with safety and regulatory standards during maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Planning Engineer to implement maintenance strategies.
• Assist in monitoring maintenance expenses and supporting budget management.
• Provide training sessions for technicians on new machinery and maintenance practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical).
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in the food & beverage sector.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Strong negotiation skills when dealing with contractors.
