Electrical Technician – Industrial Maintenance

About the role

The Electrical Technician will work on‑site at El Obour, supporting the production lines of a paper and packaging manufacturer. This full‑time position focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of industrial electrical equipment to ensure safe, continuous operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on motors, MCC panels, sensors, and control circuits.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, replacing components as needed.
• Assist with VFD, soft starter and motor protection system checks and adjustments.
• Support cable termination, panel checks and basic control wiring tasks.
• Document maintenance activities and report abnormal conditions such as noise, overheating or tripping.
• Participate in shutdown maintenance and equipment upgrades while following lock‑out/tag‑out safety procedures.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in heavy industry or paper manufacturing.
• Ability to work shifts and collaborate with production and maintenance teams.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability and detailed documentation.

Required skills

• Maintenance of motors and MCC panels.
• Knowledge of control circuits, sensors, VFDs and soft starters.
• Understanding of motor protection systems.
• Cable termination and basic control wiring.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and drawings.
