Elevator Maintenance Engineer – Alexandria

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Elevator Maintenance Engineer to join its Alexandria branch. You will lead a team of fitters, ensure continuous service coverage, and maintain high safety and quality standards for elevator and escalator equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Organise routine servicing schedules and allocate work to fitters.
• Fit new parts and carry out quality inspections.
• Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns and fix faults or arrange replacements.
• Ensure 24‑hour coverage by organising teams and supervising contracted staff.
• Prepare site reports, drawings and provide technical advice.
• Maintain site safety and enforce safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of maintenance engineering experience in the elevator/escalator industry.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for vertical transportation equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with maintenance management software and diagnostic tools.
• Flexibility to work full‑time and in remote or field‑based settings.
