• Plan and teach small-group pull-out and in-class sessions in speaking, listening, reading and writing, and teach academic vocabulary for English, Math, Science and Social Studies.
• Co-plan with homeroom and subject teachers so classroom tasks are accessible to ELL students, and maintain planning, attendance and progress records on Toddle.
• Deliver multisensory literacy interventions (phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency) for students with dyslexia, using the school's dyslexia-support platform and referring concerns to the SEN Counselor.
• Support autistic and other additional-needs students with visual supports, clear routines and structured sessions, helping them with communication, social interaction and self-regulation in line with their IEP.
• Contribute language and literacy goals to IEPs and support plans, advise teachers on accommodations and differentiation, and report progress to teachers, leadership and parents each semester.
• Refer any wellbeing or safeguarding concern to the SEN Counselor or DSL immediately.
