Engineer I – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

The Engineer I provides on‑site maintenance and guest‑service support for a hospitality property in the Red Sea region. You will respond to repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room systems.
• Inspect, lubricate, and clean equipment; manage shut‑off valves and utility controls.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift handovers.
• Perform minor painting, drywall, wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components.
• Program televisions, handle housekeeping‑related inventory, and use lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 lb independently and heavier items with assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and strong guest‑service orientation.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
