Engineer II

About the role

The Engineer II is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and maintaining the hotel’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Working independently, you will ensure preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and support the overall functionality of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of tools and equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building systems.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies.
• Document daily activities and hand over to subsequent shifts.
• Repair or replace PVC copper pipe, plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and various guestroom items.
• Program TVs, replace light bulbs and A/C filters, and perform minor carpentry, drywall and painting tasks.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Utilize engineering software for preventive maintenance and energy management.
• Conduct mid‑level troubleshooting of MEP systems and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with guests.
• Experience in hotel or facilities engineering environments.
• Capability to train and mentor junior staff.
• Commitment to safety policies and proper use of personal protective equipment.
