English Teacher

About the role

SABIS, a global education network, is seeking an English Teacher to deliver its proven curriculum and support student success across its schools. The role involves using SABIS lesson plans and the point system to create an engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assessments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS Point System to maintain a conducive classroom atmosphere.
• Proctor exams and ensure a properly managed testing environment.
• Provide guidance and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Assist with external exam preparation and revision schedules.
• Support administrative duties such as student testing, substitute teaching, lunch and bus organization, and traffic control.
• Participate in student life activities in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience.
• Professional behavior and ethical conduct.
• Commitment to delivering results and continuous improvement.
• Accountability and strong communication skills.
