Entrepreneurship Teacher (Years 1‑9)

About the role

Silicon Valley International School is expanding its Entrepreneurship Department and seeks a dynamic teacher to lead a hands‑on, project‑based program for students in Years 1 through 9. You will guide young learners as they ideate, prototype, test, and present real products to authentic audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a sequenced entrepreneurship pathway covering design thinking, lean startup, basic finance, marketing and ethics.
• Set clear objectives, use rubrics and checkpoints, and mentor teams from problem discovery to minimum viable product.
• Organise pitch days, showcases and regular feedback sessions to track progress and close learning gaps.
• Facilitate partnerships with local startups, incubators, guest speakers, visits and mini‑internships.
• Contribute to makerspace readiness, classroom routines, resource development and compliance.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, “learn by doing” environment with high expectations and student ownership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Management, Engineering or Education.
• Recognised teaching qualification or eligibility under Egyptian MOE requirements.
• 3+ years of successful teaching in business/entrepreneurship/economics OR 3+ years of startup/SME leadership plus 1–2 years of teaching/training.
• Experience with project‑based learning, design thinking or lean startup for early‑year students.
• Current safeguarding/child‑protection training (or willingness to complete before start).
• Excellent communication and collaboration with students, families and colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
• Experience using LMS platforms such as Google Classroom or Schoology.
