Experienced TIG Welder

About the role

Uniform Engineering Ltd is looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join its manufacturing team. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality welds on stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium components, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding operations on a variety of metal parts, including stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and welding symbols to determine welding parameters.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment, including torches, gas cylinders and welding machines.
• Prepare and clean metal surfaces, ensuring proper fit‑up and alignment before welding.
• Monitor welding parameters, adjust settings as needed, and inspect welds for defects.
• Carry out repairs or rework on welded joints to meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and keep equipment in good condition.
• Follow all health and safety protocols at all times.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Basic mathematics and measurement skills.
• Commitment to adhering to safety procedures.
