External Auditor I (First Auditor)

About the role

The First Auditor will lead external audit engagements for a portfolio of clients, reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and supervising audit teams to deliver high‑quality work on time.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in preparing the annual audit strategy and plan.
• Perform risk assessment procedures, document client business environment, and set materiality levels.
• Prepare audit programs, complete audit files, and meet deadlines.
• Test internal controls and conduct substantive testing on material accounts.
• Document all audit procedures and results in working papers.
• Review preliminary financial statements for IFRS/IFRS‑SME compliance and relevant regulations.
• Communicate with clients to gather accurate data and verify its integrity.
• Escalate material findings to the Audit Manager and discuss results with client management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an external auditor.
• Professional certification preferred (CPA, ACCA, or DipIFR).
• Experience in a Big 4 or comparable audit environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Strong knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
