Field Professional – Logging While Drilling (LWD)

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a motivated Field Professional to lead Logging While Drilling (LWD) operations on‑site. You will supervise tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation and quality control, ensuring the highest service standards for our global energy clients.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise LWD processes on‑site, including tool set‑up, data capture, log generation and QC.
• Act as lead engineer for most jobs, guaranteeing accurate and timely data delivery.
• Provide technical consultation on mud hydraulics, Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies and BHA dynamics.
• Test all tools and equipment before, during and after each job and resolve operational issues.
• Complete required forms, databases and reports (service vouchers, equipment loss, radiation surveys, end‑of‑job surveys, corrective actions).
• Ensure BHA assembly follows planned torque, doping and handling specifications.
• Coordinate with the Directional Driller to confirm BHA compatibility and correct tool‑face references.
• Participate in performance‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum one year field experience in M/LWD.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline preferred.
• Completion of Halliburton’s basic M/LWD training program and successful passage of company tests.
• Strong technical aptitude, good communication, arithmetic and data‑entry skills.
• Ability to read and interpret formation logs, directional surveys and other well‑site data.
• Relevant on‑shore and off‑shore safety certificates.
