Field Service Engineer – Document Scanners & Digital Solutions

About the role

Egyptian Innovation Systems (EIS) is seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to join its Technical Support and Maintenance team. The role is ideal for fresh graduates or junior candidates with 0–2 years of experience and offers hands‑on training on Kodak Alaris, Canon and Fujitsu scanning equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and commission high‑speed document scanners at client sites.
• Perform preventive and periodic maintenance, including paper‑path cleaning and replacement of consumable parts.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic and software‑related faults.
• Install and configure scanner drivers, capture software and document archiving applications.
• Provide on‑site, phone and remote technical support to corporate and government clients.
• Document service visits, faults, corrective actions and spare‑part usage.
• Train end‑users on proper equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers with clear documentation.

Required profile

• Solid technical foundation with strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Hands‑on curiosity and willingness to perform fieldwork and client‑site visits.
• Fresh graduate or junior professional (0–2 years of experience).
• Readiness to travel across Cairo, Greater Cairo and occasionally other governorates.
