Field Service Representative II

About the role

Caterpillar is seeking a Field Service Representative II to join its global product support team. In this hands‑on position you will travel to customer sites, install, maintain and troubleshoot a range of turbomachinery and packaged systems, ensuring reliable operation for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site preventive maintenance, inspections, and commissioning activities on turbomachinery and package systems.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using test equipment, schematics and manufacturers’ specifications.
• Repair or replace faulty components with hand tools, gauges, and digital diagnostic tools.
• Clean, lubricate and adjust equipment as required, following standard procedures.
• Document service actions and customer feedback in a timely manner.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field (mechanical, electrical or related).
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to meet or exceed client expectations.
• Proactive attitude, able to take initiative and solve problems independently.
• Basic understanding of mechanical maintenance, power supply systems and service documentation.

Required skills

• Use of diagnostic test equipment and electronic measurement tools.
• Interpretation of schematics, technical diagrams and manufacturers’ specifications.
• Hands‑on mechanical maintenance, including installation, adjustment and repair of equipment.
• Familiarity with digital service tools and documentation systems.
