Finance Manager / Chief Accountant

About the role

QAC Quality, a leading Egyptian exporter of premium fresh fruits and vegetables, is looking for a senior Finance Manager / Chief Accountant to lead its financial operations in Alexandria. The role combines strategic financial leadership with hands‑on accounting, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and accurate reporting across the export business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, financial consolidation, and monthly/annual closings.
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash‑flow) and coordinate audit activities.
• Optimize financial policies, manage cash flow, and supervise data migration and daily operations on Odoo ERP.
• Handle end‑to‑end import/export financial workflows, including letters of credit, documentary collections, e‑port, and LOCs.
• Ensure full tax compliance by preparing and filing VAT, salary tax, WHT, and corporate tax via Egyptian e‑invoicing portals.
• Calculate shipment costs, landing costs, and perishable wastage/shrinkage accurately.
• Lead, develop, and manage the internal accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting (English section); professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are highly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of solid financial accounting experience, preferably in export companies dealing with fresh agricultural products.
• Deep knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, IFRS, customs regulations, and digital tax platforms.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) for international correspondence.
• Resident of Alexandria, Egypt.

Required skills

• Expert‑level hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
