Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller for Egypt will report to the Finance Director for Compliance and Control (MISA Region) and ensure that Kerry meets all financial compliance obligations across its Egyptian legal entities. The role safeguards group assets through robust financial controls and works closely with corporate functions, auditors, and the Group Country Compliance team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Group policies in financial reporting, tax, treasury, insurance, company secretarial and legal areas.
• Maintain and review local compliance databases and country‑specific requirements.
• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, statutory adjustments and forecasts, including 5‑year outlooks.
• Oversee timely filing of statutory accounts and manage fixed‑asset and IFRS16 lease processes.
• Own the Record‑to‑Report cycle, including bank, inter‑company, AP/AR and accrual reconciliations.
• Support audits, statistical reporting, impairment modelling and cost‑allocation reviews.
• Monitor working capital components – receivables, payables, inventory and cash flow – and partner with Treasury to mitigate risks.
• Act as Site Risk Coordinator and lead the Egypt Financial Control team, fostering collaboration with Global Business Services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial compliance and control within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian statutory reporting requirements and Group policies.
• Leadership experience managing a finance team and driving cross‑functional alignment.
• Ability to work with auditors, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure robust governance.
