FinTech Architecture & Design Tech Lead

About the role

As the Architecture and Design Authority for Vodafone's FinTech and IT organization, you will shape the technical direction of payments, cards, BNPL, savings and insurance solutions. You will align technology roadmaps with the Vodafone Group strategy and ensure that new services are secure, scalable and built on modern micro‑services principles.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern architecture for Payments, Cards, Tokenization, Soft POS, Settlement & Reconciliation, BNPL, Savings and Insurance services.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and roadmaps.
• Resolve technical disagreements between delivery teams and audit existing solutions.
• Lead the adoption of micro‑services‑based, fault‑tolerant designs across the FinTech platform.
• Collaborate with Vodafone Group Architecture teams to adapt global standards to local (Egypt) needs.
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation and code standards.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams and ensure compliance with IT strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an architecture and design authority within an IT‑FinTech environment.
• Strong ability to align technology roadmaps with corporate strategy.
• Experience leading large‑scale, revenue‑impacting projects.
• Decision‑making authority to resolve technical conflicts.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with cross‑functional and group teams.
