Food Storeman – Warehouse & Kitchen Supplies

About the role

The Food Storeman is responsible for receiving, storing and issuing all food supplies for the on‑site catering operations at Sukari Mine. Working within the Administration Department, the role ensures strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and inventory control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Accept and safely unload all incoming food shipments, storing them securely in the warehouse.
• Maintain stock using a First‑In‑First‑Out (FIFO) system to minimise waste.
• Issue raw kitchen food items daily to catering staff based on demand.
• Monitor and record humidity, temperature and expiry dates of stored items.
• Enforce health, safety and hygiene standards and keep storage areas clean and audit‑ready.
• Prepare regular inventory reports and daily workflow summaries.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma from a Commercial Secondary School or a related field.
• Technical background or certification in food safety, preferably HACCP.
• Minimum 2 years experience in food storage, warehousing or FMCG/hospitality logistics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety procedures.
