Front-End Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Bask Health is expanding its software engineering team and is looking for a Front-End Software Engineer to work remotely. The engineer works directly with the CEO and CTO to build and design the software infrastructure that underpins a telehealth platform. The platform is a multi-tenant monorepo built with Next.js and React on the front, tRPC and Prisma on the back, deployed on SST, with TypeScript throughout. The role calls for end-to-end ownership, treating AI as a real collaborator.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and ship high-quality product experiences, owning key surfaces from concept through production.
• Write elegant, well-tested code within a real test suite.
• Work across the stack, following features from the interface through the API to the database, with no handoffs.
• Use AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to draft intent, scaffold components and refactor, applying your own judgment to meet healthcare quality standards.
• Prototype fast and validate with real patients and care teams, refining before full commitment, especially in sensitive clinical contexts.
• Build reusable, well-architected patterns and make automation legible and trustworthy.
• Champion performance, accessibility and reliability, partnering with the team to debug and optimize.
• Document prompts, patterns and workflows so the team moves faster without compromising patient outcomes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience; a full-stack generalist who has taken a product from 0 to 1 and can apply that instinct in a system with real patients.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and drawn to a mission that changes how healthcare is delivered.
• Strong communicator who can explain technical problems, constraints and timelines clearly.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment and able to own entire projects or large parts of the codebase.
• Paid-product experience preferred; React Native or Expo experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind and JavaScript.
• Backend: tRPC, Drizzle ORM, SQL, Node, SST.
