Fullstack Software Developer (Node.js) - Senior Associate

About the role

PwC's advisory practice in technology delivery is looking for a Fullstack Software Developer with Node.js expertise to join its team in Cairo. The role combines technical experience with creative thinking to develop and deliver software solutions for clients, managing end-to-end delivery and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Senior Associate level sits within the advisory line of service.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js for backend services.
• Design and implement efficient APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Work with frontend technologies (React, Angular or Vue.js) to build intuitive user interfaces.
• Optimize application performance and ensure security best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot bugs and improve development workflows.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile environment.
• Preferred: experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure or GCP).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Node.js and backend frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
• Frontend experience with React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript and asynchronous programming.
• Databases (SQL or NoSQL, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB).
• RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or CI/CD pipelines.
