General Accountant – AR/AP & Executive Support

About the role

We are seeking a diligent General Accountant to manage both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions while providing confidential financial support for executive and private matters. The role requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle multiple financial processes across several locations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage AR and AP operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely month‑end closing.
• Perform daily invoice and payment reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and issue credit notes as needed.
• Reconcile AR balances with sales, inventory, customer accounts, and intercompany transactions; prepare customer statements and AR trial balances.
• Process supplier invoices, manage payments, reconcile vendor accounts, and produce AP trial balances.
• Handle returned payments, write‑offs, employee expenses, petty‑cash advances, and accruals.
• Ensure tax compliance and support monthly closing activities.
• Provide financial and administrative support for executive and private matters, including payroll, travel arrangements, payments, and household staff administration.
• Oversee private accounts, credit cards, financing activities, and fund transfers while maintaining strict confidentiality.
• Support financial requirements for special projects and maintenance activities across multiple sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in AR, AP, or general accounting.
• Proven experience with month‑end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and tax compliance.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
