General Accountant – Real Estate, Agriculture & Services

About the role

The General Accountant will manage day‑to‑day accounting activities, ensure accurate financial records, and support reporting for a diversified business operating in real estate, agriculture and services. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, ERP systems and advanced Excel reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions, journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed‑asset schedules.
• Process supplier invoices, customer payments and expense claims.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax regulations and prepare related documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required financial data.
• Generate financial analysis and reports using Odoo ERP and Microsoft Excel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a focus on accounting.
• 3–5 years of experience as a General Accountant.
• Previous experience in real‑estate, agriculture or service companies is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, general‑ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Good command of English and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications.
