General Manager – Labels

About the role

The General Manager – Labels will lead the overall operations and strategic direction of the packaging and labels business. Reporting to senior leadership, the GM is accountable for driving growth, operational excellence, profitability, and customer satisfaction across manufacturing, sales, supply chain, finance, quality, and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s strategic business plan, set annual objectives, budgets, and performance targets.
• Oversee manufacturing operations, improve processes, drive Lean Manufacturing, and ensure timely delivery and product quality.
• Lead sales, marketing, and business development activities, expanding the customer portfolio across FMCG, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, cosmetics, industrial, and retail sectors.
• Manage P&L, monitor budgets, margins, and financial performance, and identify cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Direct procurement, inventory optimization, and logistics to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer specifications, and HSE regulations.
• Lead and develop senior managers, foster a high‑performance culture, and support talent development and succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Management or related field; MBA highly preferred.
• 15–20 years of manufacturing experience with 7–10 years in senior leadership or General Management roles.
• Strong background in packaging, printing, labels, flexible packaging, folding cartons or converting industry.
• Proven track record of business growth, operational excellence, and profitability improvement.
