Go Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Go Developer to join a leading software development firm on a contract basis. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere while designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices and APIs using Go.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise backend services in Go to improve performance and reliability.
• Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and security protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and enhance system stability.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on Go (Golang) development experience.
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, data structures, and algorithms in Go.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerisation using Docker.
