Growth & Operations Executive

About the role

Alia Publishing House, an award‑winning boutique Arabic publisher, is seeking a Growth & Operations Executive to drive the expansion of its titles and ensure flawless delivery to readers worldwide. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will combine business‑development acumen with operational discipline to open new channels, manage partnerships and oversee logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage bookstores, schools, libraries, distributors and corporate gifting partners to secure new sales opportunities.
• Convert initial meetings into long‑term agreements and nurture existing relationships.
• Represent Alia at book fairs and trade events, managing booth logistics, stock, transport and post‑event reconciliation.
• Own the end‑to‑end sales cycle from first contact to signed contract.
• Develop new market channels in collaboration with the CEO.
• Oversee order fulfillment, ensuring accurate, on‑time delivery to customers.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams and logistics partners to prevent loss and maintain schedules.
• Design and maintain operational systems that support daily activities.

Required profile

• Passion for children’s literature and belief in its impact.
• Resilient, energetic and mission‑driven.
• 3–5 years of experience in both business development and operational delivery.
• Proven track record of opening and closing B2B deals.
• Hands‑on experience with fulfillment and logistics processes.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a fast‑growing environment.
• Based in Cairo, fluent in Arabic, proficient in English, and willing to travel as needed.
