Hardware Electronics Lab Technician

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Hardware Electronics Lab Technician to join our engineering team in Cairo. You will work closely with engineers to assemble, test, and validate electronic prototypes for automotive software projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, solder (SMT and through‑hole) and rework printed circuit boards.
• Set up and operate lab instruments such: oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies and signal generators.
• Support board bring‑up, validation, troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Maintain lab equipment, tools and inventory while ensuring ESD safety compliance.
• Document test procedures, results and observations clearly.
• Prepare hardware setups for certification, demos and validation activities.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of hands‑on experience in an electronics laboratory.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage lab tasks efficiently.

Required skills

• SMT and through‑hole soldering, PCB assembly and rework.
• Use of oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies and signal generators.
• Embedded hardware knowledge (microcontrollers, NXP or similar SoCs).
• Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium or OrCAD.
• Troubleshooting, failure analysis and root‑cause investigation.
• ESD safety procedures and laboratory documentation.
