About the role

The school, part of a prestigious British school family, seeks a Head of EYFS to lead its Early Years Foundation Stage. Based in the Mivida development of New Cairo, the role involves shaping curriculum delivery and fostering a nurturing environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic and curriculum leadership for the EYFS department.
• Oversee implementation of the English National Curriculum across early years.
• Model effective planning, teaching, marking and assessment for staff.
• Lead, mentor and build a high‑performing EYFS team.
• Strategically plan, prioritize and organise departmental activities.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align EYFS goals with the school’s holistic education vision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree desirable).
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience in academic or curriculum leadership positions.
• Experience delivering the English National Curriculum.
• Strong problem‑solving, strategic thinking and organisational skills.
• Team‑builder with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Resilient, adaptable, flexible and a sense of humour.
• International school teaching experience and understanding of UK independent school education are desirable.
