Head of Mathematics Department – American Division

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic leader to head the Mathematics Department of the American division at Manhattan Schools in Maadi, Cairo. The role involves setting academic standards, driving curriculum excellence, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement among faculty and students.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a rigorous, engaging mathematics curriculum aligned with higher‑education and real‑world applications.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate faculty, promoting professional growth and best teaching practices.
• Manage departmental operations including scheduling, resource allocation and performance assessments.
• Collaborate with other departments, especially Engineering, to integrate mathematical concepts across disciplines.
• Monitor student progress and departmental effectiveness, introducing strategies to enhance learning outcomes.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of progressive experience in educational leadership or senior teaching roles.
• Proven ability to manage teams and drive academic improvement.
• Deep expertise in mathematics and a strong academic background.
