Health Officer for EKN2 Project in Aswan

About the role

The Health Officer will lead the health component of the EKN2 project, ensuring primary and secondary healthcare services for displaced Sudanese people in Aswan are planned, coordinated, implemented and reported in line with SCI and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate capacity building of NGOs on SGBV and supervise all health activities implemented directly or through partners.
• Oversee referral pathways to secondary and tertiary hospitals, ensure SGBV health cases are identified and referred appropriately.
• Plan, implement and supervise primary healthcare activities, community health awareness sessions and health outreach work plans.
• Manage data collection, analysis and reporting for health activities, including budgeting and cash‑for‑health expenditures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in medicine, nursing or pharmacy with at least 3 years of project implementation experience.
• Experience managing primary healthcare activities at community level; experience with nutrition services and refugee populations is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Commitment to Save the Children values and child safeguarding.

• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, data management).
• Report writing in English.
