Heavy Haulage & Transportation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Heavy Haulage & Transportation Engineer to lead engineering and logistics studies for the movement of heavy and oversized cargo using low‑bed and hydraulic trailers. The role ensures safe, efficient and compliant transport operations in line with engineering and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engineering and logistics studies for heavy‑cargo transportation projects.
• Prepare lashing calculations and perform load‑force analysis to guarantee secure cargo handling.
• Develop lifting plans and method statements for heavy equipment handling.
• Create technical drawings of transport configurations and lifting arrangements using CAD software.
• Perform route planning and support route surveys for oversized loads.
• Monitor convoy movements, equipment mobilization and transportation schedules.
• Supervise on‑site execution of critical transportation operations, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in heavy‑haul logistics or transportation engineering.
• Strong analytical skills for load and lashing calculations.
• Ability to develop detailed lifting plans and method statements.
• Experience with route planning for oversized cargo.
