Hostess – Guest Reception at Hotel Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests at our hotel restaurant in 6th of October City, Egypt. You will create a welcoming atmosphere and help ensure a smooth dining experience for all patrons.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests in a warm, professional manner.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Answer phone calls and respond to restaurant inquiries.
• Maintain an organized, clean reception area.
• Assist in resolving customer concerns or complaints.
• Track wait times and communicate updates to guests.
• Ensure menus are clean and up‑to‑date.
• Support special events or large group bookings.
• Keep up‑to‑date with menu items, daily specials, and promotions.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Previous customer‑service experience, preferably in a restaurant setting.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• High energy, professionalism, and excellent personal presentation.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and dining etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic math skills for managing reservations and table assignments.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude and teamwork orientation.
